The library of the institute is presently housed in a fully air conditioned building with vast area of 732 sqm on the ground and first floors of Block-C. It supports the teaching, research and extension programs of the institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are entitled to make use of the library facilities. The spacious reading hall enables the users to utilize their spare time in the library. The location of the library provides an ideal environment, where the student can study in solitude and comfort.

The library has a collection of about fifteen thousand books, covering all the branches of engineering and MBA including reference books. The digital library contains digital media books and magazine, cassettes etc. Standard books pertaining to the prescribed syllabi as well as a wide spectrum of inspiring books and books of current topics are added to the library as and when required. Purchase of books is a continuous process in the institute.

The library is subscribing to more than 2000 online journals through INDEST- AICTE Consortium encompassing all disciplines in addition to the printed journals and magazines.

The library is fully computerized with the bar-coding of the library resources and students identification records, all the functions of library have been automated thus bringing efficiency in the library service and time saving for staff and student. It is equipped with surveillance system.

The library has broadband dedicated internet connection which enables the users of the library to access e-journals and other knowledge resources from national and international data mines. The library offers a combination of online and offline knowledge resources design to provide the users with a holistic and comprehensive information service for their professionals, reference and recreational needs.

The library holdings can be accessed by a computerized online public access catalogue (OPAC). It allows searchers for materials by key words, or through several access points like author, title, subject, etc.

Besides the normal working hours of the institute, the library reading hall remains open till late in the evening and on holidays during the examination.
The library is manned by well qualified and experienced staff members consisting of Librarian, Deputy Librarian, Assistant Librarian, Library Assistants and Library Attendants

KITM Library provides Book Bank facilities to the needy students. There are more than 2000 books in the Book
Bank which cover syllabus of First year of all courses.Books are issued in the beginning of the session for
the full semester.

Students are allowed to select books from the list of books provided to them along with the application form for the membership of the Book Bank.

Students are happy to avail this facility as they getalmost all the books of their syllabus for the full semester.Depending upon the demands and requirements new books are added to the Book Bank from time to time.
